Nam A Bank continues to affirm its role as a pioneering financial institution standing side by side with the Ho Chi Minh City government in multilateral foreign affairs activities.

On September 11, 2026, within the framework of the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue event in 2026 (FD 2026), Nam A Bank continues to affirm its role as a pioneering financial organization standing side by side with the City government in multilateral foreign affairs activities, promoting green transformation and connecting international infrastructure - finance.

With the theme "Local Foreign Affairs: Driving Force for Innovation and Sustainable Growth", FD 2026 takes place from September 10 to 12, 2026 in Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The event is chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee with an impressive international scale, gathering nearly 500 domestic and international delegates, including representatives from 36 local delegations, international partners covering continents and leaders of ministries, sectors and the domestic and foreign business community.

FD 2026 has important strategic significance when organized in the new urban development space of Ho Chi Minh City. The series of events includes key activities: Mayors' Conference, thematic discussions and Public Diplomacy Programs and Field Visits.

As one of the main speakers of the event, Mr. Ha Huy Cuong - Deputy General Director of Nam A Bank presented an important presentation with the theme: "Green finance as a lever to transform the seaport - logistics ecosystem: The role of local foreign affairs in connecting businesses with resources and international markets".

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ha Huy Cuong emphasized: In the context of global trade restructuring, green standards are not only environmental requirements but have become mandatory conditions for Vietnamese goods and transport ships to access large markets. However, the green transformation process of seaport infrastructure, warehouses, logistics centers and means of transport requires very large and long-term capital.

Green finance needs to be approached in the direction of sharing and supporting businesses to implement the transition process, instead of just funding projects that have fully met green criteria. Banks need to participate right from the stage of structuring investment plans, integrating indicators on energy efficiency, emissions and environmental - social risk management (ESG) into the appraisal process," Mr. Ha Huy Cuong shared.

In particular, Nam A Bank also proposed an ecosystem approach, typically the Bank's parallel sponsorship of the NECS cold storage ecosystem linkage chain and QTM International Seaport. Connecting credit capital flows with cargo flows, cash flows and operating data across cold storage, seaports and logistics services will help optimize costs, increase transparency in traceability and improve comprehensive competitiveness for the supply chain.
