On December 22, the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (Petrovietnam) organized a training program to deploy the STEM education practice room system nationwide.
This is not only a technical activity to guide the use of equipment, but also an important step to synchronize the thinking, methods and organization of STEM education at schools benefiting from the program.
According to the plan, the training program is organized in many flexible forms, combining online and in person, suitable for the actual conditions of localities.
Accordingly, online training courses nationwide will take place on December 22 - 23 and 29, 2025, creating conditions for teachers and managers of schools across the country to access content in a complete and timely manner.
Along with that, Petrovietnam organizes direct training courses in 5 areas: Hanoi, Lao Cai, Nghe An, Khanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City, lasting from the end of December 2025 to the end of January 2026.
Through the program, Petrovietnam hopes to not only improve the professional capacity of the teaching staff, but also contribute to building a sustainable STEM education ecosystem, linking education with science - technology, innovation and the requirement to develop high-quality human resources for the country in the new period.
Speaking at the implementation of the training on the STEM Education Practice room system, Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Petrovietnam Party Committee - said that the "STEM Innovation Petrovietnam" program is entering the final stage of the first implementation phase, with the goal of completing 100 STEM practice rooms nationwide.
In recent times, Petrovietnam has closely coordinated with leaders of localities, education sectors and schools to inaugurate and put into operation many STEM practice rooms; at the same time, urgently deploy the installation of the remaining rooms in accordance with State regulations on investment, ensuring quality, progress and synchronization of the program.
Mr. Tran Quang Dung emphasized that although investment procedures require many strict steps, the Group is determined not to affect the goals, requirements and quality of STEM practice rooms.
With the completed rooms, Petrovietnam continues to coordinate with the locality and the school to operate effectively. With the rooms under construction, the Group hopes to receive coordination and support from the education sector and training facilities to complete and put into use soon after installation.
In particular, Mr. Tran Quang Dung affirmed that Petrovietnam's commitment does not stop at investing in equipment, but more importantly, it is to " surpass" STEM departments in the teaching and learning process.
Based on the 2018 General Education Program, Petrovietnam will continue to accompany scientists, experts and the education sector so that STEM departments can truly become the "ney" for developing STEM education in general schools, creating a foundation for expanding the model in the future.
According to Mr. Tran Quang Dung, this is not only a social security activity, but a long-term companionship with the education sector in improving the quality of teaching and learning, contributing to the effective implementation of the Party's major resolutions on the development of science - technology and innovation. This policy has received consensus and high appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Training.
