On January 17, 2025, teachers and students of Doan Thi Diem Secondary School - Hanoi solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 20th anniversary and receive the Second Class Labor Medal.

At the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan - First Chairwoman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, on behalf of the Party and State, attended and congratulated the Board of Directors, staff, teachers and more than 3,400 students of the school. Also attending the ceremony were President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education; Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong - Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Ms. Vu Thu Ha - Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee and representatives of Hanoi's Departments, Committees and Branches.

Doan Thi Diem Secondary School is part of the Doan Thi Diem Primary, Secondary and High School system in Hanoi and was established on May 19, 2005. After 20 years of development, the school has grown steadily and become a bright spot in the capital's education sector with outstanding training quality.

The school is proud of its team with an Associate Professor - Doctor - Excellent Teacher - Chairman of the School Council, 100% of teachers have professional qualifications that meet or exceed the standard. The school's foreign teaching staff are 100% native speakers, well-trained in the right teaching major with university degrees or higher, carefully selected with strict requirements on expertise, teaching methods and pedagogical skills.

Looking back on the journey of two decades of continuous efforts, the Board of Directors of Doan Thi Diem Secondary School happily shared: “Since its establishment, the school has had thousands of students winning high prizes in cultural, artistic, and sports competitions at the city, national, and international levels. For many consecutive years, the school has had excellent students achieving the title of valedictorian in entrance exams to prestigious specialized high schools in Hanoi, along with hundreds of other students receiving scholarships and high rankings in these exams.”

Over the years, over 98.58% of students have achieved Good/Excellent/Good results in their studies; 99.88% of students have achieved Good training/conduct. The school's rate of excellent students at all levels is always among the top in Nam Tu Liem district.

The recognition of all levels and sectors with many noble titles and certificates of merit is a great pride of the school. In particular, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its establishment, Doan Thi Diem Secondary School was honored to receive the noble award: Second-class Labor Medal from the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On this special occasion, the school held a ceremony to celebrate its 20th anniversary with the theme “Symphony No. 20” for teachers and students to look back at the memorable milestones that have created the Doan Thi Diem Secondary School brand today. The Doan Thi Diem Symphony is a chord full of youthful energy from generations of talented, studious students who work hard every day, from the trust and love given by parents along with the silent contributions of teachers every day. All of these sounds still resound regularly every day, all towards a common, exciting song: The desire to reach far.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong attended and delivered a congratulatory speech, highly appreciating the proud achievements of teachers and students of Doan Thi Diem Secondary School over the past 20 years. What the school has achieved is proof of the school's right direction in comprehensive education, focusing on promoting the creativity and thinking ability of each student. The Deputy Minister affirmed that in the coming years, the education sector will face high demands, high requirements for pioneering, innovation and ensuring quality as top priority. Doan Thi Diem Secondary School needs to continue to promote the achievements it has achieved, continue to improve management work, improve the quality of the team of teachers who love their jobs, are good at their profession, are dynamic and creative, continue to innovate teaching and learning methods, develop sustainably, and be steadfast with the goal of educating the capital.

To the students, the Deputy Minister also encouraged the spirit of solidarity, good implementation of Uncle Ho's 5 teachings, focusing on cultivating compassion, self-study methods, worthy of the 20-year tradition of the School. When the Chairman of the School Council, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Quoc Thong instructed and presented the sacred symbol to the representatives of teachers and students of the twentieth generation, all members of the school shared the same heartbeat, silently promising to continue writing the beautiful pages that previous generations had passionately and proudly written.
