Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Thuy - Chairwoman of Hoang Mai District Labor Federation said that currently, Hoang Mai District Labor Federation directly manages and directs the activities of 388 affiliated grassroots unions, with a total of 21,456 union members.
From 2019 to 2023, Hoang Mai District Labor Federation received the Excellent Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Hanoi People's Committee for 4 years; in 2024, it was honored to be awarded the Second Class Labor Medal by the State.
The District Labor Federation has launched and maintained many exciting emulation movements with diverse and practical forms. From traditional emulation movements with industry characteristics such as "Skilled workers, creative workers", "Reviewing theory to practice skills", "Creative initiatives"... to general emulation movements such as "Green - clean - beautiful", "Labor safety and hygiene", "Good at public work, good at housework"... all attract a large number of workers to participate.
Clearly identifying the foundation for performing well the functions of the Trade Union organization, the District Labor Federation has systematically and scientifically implemented the work of developing union members and building a strong Trade Union organization, considering this one of the key and top priority tasks.
In 2024, the District Labor Federation newly established 29/20 grassroots unions (achieving 145% of the target) and developed 4,315 union members, of which 15 grassroots unions had 25 or more union members (achieving 300% of the target), 5 units were established according to Article 14 of the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Pham Quang Thanh highly appreciated the results and achievements that the Hoang Mai District Labor Federation achieved in 2024, always promoting the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
The Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation also suggested that 2025 is the year of major national holidays, so the Hoang Mai District Labor Union needs to organize activities closely related to the celebration of major holidays and political tasks of the locality and city.
