Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuong - Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Phu Tho province said that after many times of adding tasks to meet the development and practical requirements, up to now, the department has performed state management tasks in the following fields: Press; publishing, printing, distribution; radio, television; electronic information; foreign information; grassroots information; post; telecommunications; radio frequencies; information technology industry; information technology application; network information security; electronic transactions.
In particular, the Department of Information and Communications becomes the leading and pioneering agency, holding the responsibility and core role in the digital transformation in the province and managing press and media activities.
The achievements of the IT sector have contributed to modernizing the administrative system and improving the capacity assessment indicators of Phu Tho province's state agencies. In particular, the implementation and concretization of digital transformation tasks have been a strong change, deeply affecting all areas of social life.
"The management and operation of the government at all levels are basically carried out in the electronic environment; 100% of eligible administrative procedures are provided online. The proportion of the digital economy in GRDP in 2023 will rank 10th nationwide; digital citizens and digital society are deployed and developed" - Mr. Tuong shared.
The press and media system has undergone strong digital transformation to meet information and propaganda activities in the province and foreign information and promotion work about the province. Information and press management is strictly implemented; ensuring a healthy information environment, serving the political tasks of the province.
On this occasion, along with reviewing the 20-year tradition of construction and development, Phu Tho Department of Information and Communications was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal.
Over 2 decades of construction, development and growth, the Department of Information and Communications has clearly affirmed its role in advising and managing the state, making an important contribution to the overall achievements of Phu Tho province in the process of integration and development in recent years as well as in the current new situation.
