Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Comrade Tran Minh Binh - Member of the Government Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VietinBank stated: Over the past 5 years, the domestic situation has been affected by many complicated developments in the world and the region; however, with the wise leadership of the Party Central Committee and the strong management of the Government, fundamental innovations have been vigorously implemented, creating new momentum and momentum for the country's development.
In that context, promoting the tradition of solidarity, dynamism and creativity, the VietinBank Party Committee has comprehensively led Party committees, Party organizations and cadres and Party members to uphold political determination, overcome difficulties and challenges; creatively and effectively apply the policies, guidelines and policies of the Party and State, the Government and the State Bank to implement the Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term and achieved many very important and proud achievements.
Party building work is focused on, implementing discipline, in accordance with regulations, with many innovations, associated with implementing political tasks. On that basis, the VietinBank Party Committee has completed and exceeded 6/6 targets on building party organizations and the political system set during the term.
For the 2020 - 2025 term, the VietinBank Party Committee has led and directed the system to resolutely implement the Restructuring Plan associated with bad debt handling, the Development Strategy for the period 2021 - 2025, the medium-term business plan; complete and exceed 12/12 political targets.
In particular, VietinBank has strongly transformed its growth model towards sustainability and quality. Maintain and promote the role of large state-owned commercial banks, focus credit on the production and business sector, priority sectors and sectors of the Government, and key national projects; accompany the development of regions, localities, and key economic regions, contributing to creating growth momentum for the country.
To create a breakthrough, VietinBank is a pioneer in promoting innovation, building and implementing a Comprehensive Digital Transformation Program. The technology infrastructure system has been synchronously modernized by VietinBank, work processes have been automated, improving labor productivity and competitiveness.
Along with digital transformation is a "revolution in organization and personnel" to build a truly streamlined, modern apparatus that operates effectively, efficiently and efficiently in the spirit of Resolution No. 18 dated October 25, 2017 of the Central Executive Committee. VietinBank continues to improve and transform the model in the direction of streamlining, specializing, optimizing the business processes and operations of the Head Office business groups; perfecting the domestic transaction office network system; implementing a roadmap to restructure hundreds of physical transaction points, replacing them with digital platforms, towards a paperless banking model, unlimited space - time serving customers.
With the achievements in Party building and political tasks, the 2020 - 2025 term has created important breakthroughs for a new momentum in VietinBank's development journey. At the official session, the Congress listened to reports on the results of implementing the Resolution of the VietinBank Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 term; reviewing the leadership and direction of the VietinBank Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; report on the synthesis of comments on the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and draft documents of the 1st Government Party Congress. Also in the official session, the delegates attended enthusiastic lectures, contributing many practical opinions in building and developing the VietinBank Party Committee to be increasingly strong.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Bui Thanh Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs highly appreciated the preparation for the Congress of the VietinBank Party Committee; acknowledged the achievements of VietinBank in the 2020 - 2025 term: Completing and exceeding the targets set for the term, actively contributing to the overall development of the country as one of the largest banks in Vietnam; digital transformation achieving many substantial results; proactive, positive, pioneering in implementing social responsibility; Party building work was comprehensively promoted with many outstanding results. Thereby, VietinBank maintains and promotes its position as a key commercial bank, taking the lead in implementing national monetary policy, closely following the country's development goals and priorities. At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister praised the very proud achievements, demonstrating the continuous efforts of the entire Party Committee, creating new position and strength for VietinBank to confidently enter a new period of development.
In response to the development requirements in the "era of national growth", the Deputy Prime Minister directed the VietinBank Party Committee to thoroughly grasp lessons on ensuring the comprehensive and regular leadership of the Party; constantly innovate thinking; grasp the situation to proactively and promptly adapt effectively to changes from the outside; strengthen internal solidarity; build a team of cadres with a strong ideological stance, strong in professional expertise... With a serious spirit and high consensus, the Congress selected and elected the Executive Committee of the VietinBank Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 28 comrades. The Congress also elected a delegation of 11 official delegates and 04 absent delegates, representing the VietinBank Party Committee to attend the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee. On the same day, August 2, 2025, the Executive Committee of the VietinBank Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term held its first meeting, electing the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the new Party Committee.

To realize the general goals and targets set out, the VietinBank Party Committee will focus on leading and directing the synchronous, comprehensive and effective implementation of 09 tasks and solutions to implement political tasks and 05 tasks and solutions to work in Party building.
