VinFast Stadium is located at the southern gateway of Hanoi, the center of Hanoi International Sports Urban Area. The stadium has a total area of 73.3 hectares, with a capacity of up to 135,000 seats, designed to meet FIFA standards. When completed, this will be the largest automatic roofed stadium on the planet.
With its global scale and class, the stadium name is of particular importance, both needing to be suitable for the stature of a symbolic structure, and to express the desire to conquer the most challenging peaks, while promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam on the international stage.
With the above criteria, the VinFast brand has been officially chosen to name the world's largest stadium. After 9 years of establishment, VinFast has surpassed the stature of a car company to rise to become a symbol of the bravery, intelligence and determination of Vietnamese people. VinFast not only represents the aspiration to create and master the value chain in the industrial field; but also affirms the desire to conquer the most challenging peaks. That is also the supreme spirit of sports, a place to express and honor the intelligence - bravery - spirit of determination to fight and win, overcoming oneself of athletes.
In addition, through the name VinFast - the stadium will convey to the world the image of a new modern and dynamic Vietnam, while contributing to widely promoting the Vietnamese brand to reach higher and further internationally.
Similar to VinFast's green mission, VinFast stadium will be one of the greenest and smartest stadiums globally. The project integrates artificial intelligence (AI) technology with the ability to renovate the pitch in just 6-10 hours, a smart seating system connected to 5G, security management and real-time flow coordination. Water recovery and reuse solutions help save up to 70% of clean water, along with natural ventilation systems, heat and UV-resistant materials contributing to reducing energy consumption, towards a sustainable operating model. The VVIP area is designed according to high-class international standards, meeting the requirements of welcoming heads of state and high-level delegations in important international events.
Around VinFast Stadium is a diverse and modern ecosystem of auxiliary sports facilities, shaping an international-class sports - entertainment - cultural complex, well meeting world-class cultural and sports events such as ASIAD, FIFA World Cup or Olympics in the future, contributing to making Vietnam a new destination for global events.
According to the plan, VinFast Stadium will be completed in July 2027.
