Joining hands to create a modern and integrated healthcare ecosystem
The cooperation agreement between Vinmec and VNU-HCM marks an important step forward in creating an ecosystem connecting healthcare and training and research. This is part of Vinmec's long-term strategy to build an international standard training - research - clinical ecosystem right in Vietnam, with VNU-HCM being one of the first units Vinmec to sign a cooperation agreement.

In addition, modern healthcare cannot be separated from education and science and technology, so combining clinical practice, applied research and cross-disciplinary training will create a foundation for new breakthroughs in community health care.
In the common development of the world, the healthcare and healthcare sector will have a strong shift to an integrated model between medicine and other scientific fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data (Big Data) ... to create common scientific products with high applicableity, supporting doctors in examination and treatment. The combination of healthcare units and training facilities is a step to create and develop an innovative and creative ecosystem for both units., Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Dung - General Director of Vinmec Healthcare System shared about the current healthcare development trend.

With the advantage of being a medical unit with a nationwide hospital and clinic system, Vinmec can conduct large-scale scientific research - something that few medical facilities can do. At the same time, Vinmec's extensive international cooperation network is also an ideal practical environment to realize training and research initiatives from experts, lecturers as well as leading scientists of VNU-HCM.
Therefore, Vinmec wishes to accompany VNU-HCM to build an innovation ecosystem in healthcare, not only training the generation of skilled doctors but also developing scientists with innovative, multi-disciplinary thinking; flexible in applying and developing technology, bringing Vietnamese medicine into a new stage, quickly integrating with the common development of world medicine.
Cooperating to develop high-quality human resources for the country's health sector
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Director of VNU-HCM affirmed: To create humanistic values for society, units need to cooperate sincerely and have specific strategies. The two units will jointly build a comprehensive development ecosystem around major focuses to improve professional capacity, develop a high-quality next-generation team for the Vietnamese health sector. Vinmec and VNU-HCM will coordinate in developing training programs and compiling academic documents suitable to practical conditions at hospitals and universities. At the same time, Vinmec will assign lecturers and experts to directly participate in teaching and guiding clinical practice for students. VNU-HCM students will have the opportunity to study and experience at Vinmec's international standard medical facilities through internship and internship programs, which are an important stepping stone to form a comprehensive medical human resources team, not only good at their profession but also have a good understanding of clinical practice, ready for global integration.
Regarding scientific research, the two sides will discuss and coordinate the implementation of highly applicable topics, especially topics applying modern technology such as AI and Big Data in medicine. At the same time, Vinmec and VNU-HCM aim to develop joint research groups based on the strengths of each side to improve the effectiveness of diagnosis, treatment and health care.

The combination of a strong academic foundation and practical implementation capacity, both sides hope to create breakthroughs in education - health innovation, while laying the foundation for a cooperation model between the public and non-public sectors in developing medical human resources, contributing to improving the quality of community health care in the future.
