Bitcoin price: Price increase
As of 6:30 PM today (December 26), Bitcoin - the world's largest electronic currency - according to market value increased by 1.23%, reaching 88,568.94 USD.

This new price contributed to bringing market capitalization to the milestone of 1,768 billion USD, an increase of 24 billion USD. Similarly, trading volume in 24 hours was only at the threshold of 21.72 billion USD, an increase of 11.7 billion USD.
Perspectives and forecasts
According to data from asset management company BlackRock, Bitcoin has brought higher profits than all other types of assets in 8/11 years, from the beginning of 2013 to the end of 2023. In 2024, Bitcoin continued to increase sharply by 119%.
However, this hot streak shows signs of slowing down this year, as of December 23, when the world's largest digital asset decreased by about 7% in 2025. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 index recorded a profit margin of nearly 18%, marking the third consecutive year of double-digit growth.
In September 2024, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) decided to cut operating interest rates for the first time since raising interest rates in July 2023. After that, the Fed continued to implement 5 more interest rate cuts. In general, interest rate cuts are a factor supporting risky assets, including Bitcoin. When yields from fixed income products are less attractive, investors often switch to assets with higher profit potential.
In addition, loose monetary policy also promotes economic activity, supports revenue and profit growth of enterprises, thereby supporting valuation and stock prices.
In addition, the Fed has also restarted quantitative easing (QE) policy by announcing plans to buy $40 billion in treasury bills each month. The last time QE was implemented was March 15, 2020, to stimulate the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic broke out. In the next 12 months, Bitcoin prices increased by more than 1,000%.
The low-interest and QE environment creates conditions for abundant liquidity to be injected into the financial system. As a global macro asset, Bitcoin is clearly affected by this trend. Investors can follow two important indicators: US federal debt and M2 money supply. These two factors have both increased sharply in the past and are likely to continue to expand in 2026.
In terms of macroeconomic context, current factors are leaning in favor of Bitcoin when entering the new year.
According to the historical average, the S&P 500 index yields a profit of about 10% per year. If this scenario repeats in 2026, Bitcoin only needs to surpass a not too high threshold to beat the benchmark index.
