At the end of the recent trading session, the domestic gold market continued the downward trend. This morning (April 29), plain round gold rings and domestic gold bars continued to decrease in price. Compared to the same time last month, gold bar and gold ring prices decreased in the range of 3.5 - 4 million VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.
At the gold business store on Cau Giay street (Hanoi), in contrast to the smooth trading scene in recent days, the gold shop is bustling this afternoon for buying.
According to information released from the store, the quantity of plain round gold rings sold today is unlimited. In which, the store returns products according to customer needs.
As one of the people queuing to wait for transactions from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor, Ms. V.T. H (Cau Giay ward, Hanoi) - said: "Today the number of people coming to transact is large, but the store has not reopened the expanded premises next door. My house is nearby, sometimes I go out to see the trading atmosphere, a few days ago there were only about 10 people, now it has increased sharply. I bought 1-2 taels more gold when today's price dropped a lot".
According to Ms. H, the transaction time for each person is about 1 hour, before the holidays, so more people come to buy. "Some other brands want to buy plain round gold rings, they have to wait about 10 days, many stores take them right away" - Ms. H shared.
Sharing the same psychology of buying when the price is low, Ms. N.M. O (Phu Dien ward, Hanoi) said: "Yesterday I also bought, the transaction price was 16.8 million VND/chi, today I lost 200,000 VND/chi. The price adjusted down, I bought again, each time I only bought about 1 chi so I didn't think much".
Besides those waiting for buying transactions on the 2 floors of the store, the closer to noon, the number of sellers continuously increases. Ms. N.T. P (Lang ward, Hanoi) - a customer who needs to sell - shared: "My serial number 47 is waiting to sell to take profit. I sell the amount of plain round gold rings of the brand I bought, so I am not too worried about the price. Although the price has decreased compared to yesterday, because I have something to use, I still sell".
Gold price update
As of 2:05 PM on April 29, SJC gold bar prices were listed at the level of 166.3-16.8 million VND/tael (buying - selling), keeping the price range unchanged.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed SJC gold bar prices at 163-166 million VND/tael (buying - selling), simultaneously decreasing by 1.5 million VND/tael.
At the same time as the survey, SJC listed the price of plain round gold rings at 162.5-165.5 million VND/tael (buying - selling).
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings equal to the price of gold bars, currently at 163-166 million VND/tael (buying - selling).
On the world market, as of 2:07 PM on April 29 (Vietnam time), world gold prices had a downward adjustment, listed around the threshold of 4,580.3 USD/ounce, down 14.6 USD.
