By today's session (October 28), DOJI adjusted the price up to 87.9-88.9 million VND/tael (buy - sell); Bao Tin Minh Chau increased to 87.88-88.88 million VND/tael (buy - sell) and PNJ increased the price of plain gold rings to 87.6-88.89 million VND/tael.

Thus, after only one week of buying, the profit when investors buy plain gold rings at DOJI, Bao Tin Minh Chau and PNJ is 2.2 million VND, 2.2 million VND and 1.9 million VND/tael respectively.

The profit when buying plain gold rings is much higher than buying SJC gold bars. During the same period, people buying SJC gold bars at DOJI, Bao Tin Minh Chau and PNJ only made a profit of 1 million VND/tael.

Hard to buy

Mentioning the interest rate when buying gold bars is only for reference to highlight the interest rate of plain gold rings. In recent sessions, customers have been almost unable to buy gold bars at business units in Hanoi.

According to Lao Dong reporters, most stores have announced that they have stopped selling SJC gold bars. Buying gold rings is also difficult, however, units are still selling in small quantities, at irregular hours.

Coming to buy gold at a store on Tran Nhan Tong Street on the afternoon of October 27, Mr. Luu Trung Son (Nam Tu Liem - Hanoi) shared: "Recently, the price of gold has been increasing continuously, so I wanted to buy some. I had free time on the weekend, so I went to buy some, but I was told that several gold shops did not sell SJC gold bars. Therefore, I switched to buying plain round gold rings.

However, buying gold rings at this time is also difficult because you have to come at the right time when the store opens for sale. If you can wait for this time, the gold shop has a rule that each person can only buy one tael."

Like Mr. Son, Ms. Thieu Thi Huyen (Cau Giay - Hanoi) said: "I plan to buy a gold ring as a gift for a relative at the wedding. However, it is very difficult to buy gold at the moment. I chose the weekend and went to the store to buy it, but they said they were not selling it. I am still waiting, 1 tael is fine, but the store did not announce a specific time to open for sale."
