The provincial planning for the period 2021-2030 approved by the Prime Minister continues to affirm the development direction of processing and manufacturing industry with two key regions. In particular, the Southwest develops the automobile equipment, components and renewable energy industry; the Northeast becomes a center for high-tech, modern textile and garment production, in line with the goal of green and high-tech development.
In recent times, the growth rate of the processing and manufacturing industry has increased every year. In the 2020-2025 period, the processing and manufacturing industry of Quang Ninh attracted 8.98 billion USD in investment capital, of which 6.74 billion USD was FDI capital. The industry maintains an average growth rate of over 21% per year, increasing its share in the province's GRDP structure to 12.83%, an increase of 3% compared to 2020. With these results, the processing and manufacturing industry has become a new growth driver for the Quang Ninh economy.
