11 prohibited acts in the land sector

Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 12 of the 2024 Land Law (effective from August 2024) stipulates prohibited acts in the land sector as follows:

1. Land encroachment, land occupation, land destruction.

2. Violation of regulations of law on state management of land.

3. Violation of land policy for ethnic minorities.

4. Taking advantage of position and power to violate the provisions of law on land management.

5. Failure to provide information or provision of inaccurate land information, failure to meet the time limit requirements as prescribed by law.

6. Failure to prevent or handle violations of land laws.

7. Failure to comply with legal provisions when exercising land user rights.

8. Using land and conducting transactions on land use rights without registering with the competent authority.

9. Failure to perform or incomplete performance of financial obligations to the State.

10. Obstructing or causing difficulties in land use and the exercise of land users' rights as prescribed by law.

11. Gender discrimination in land management and use.

Thus, prohibited acts in the land sector are stipulated as above.
