VinFast VF 3 is a small electric car model in the Mini Car segment, becoming a phenomenon in the Vietnamese electric car market. Designed in line with the characteristics and traffic habits of Vietnamese people, this model has recorded impressive sales of 25,000 vehicles, although it has only been handed over in the last 5 months of 2024.
Notably, in January 2025, coinciding with the Lunar New Year holiday, VinFast VF 3 still achieved sales of 4,000 units. In Dien Bien province, the appearance of VF 3 on the streets is becoming more and more popular.
Although her family already owns 2 cars of the Mercedes and Kia brands, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Anh (30 years old, Muong Thanh ward, Dien Bien Phu city) still chose VinFast VF 3 as the main car.

She made a deposit for the car in May 2024 and received the yellow version after 5 months. I mainly use cars in the city. Since buying the VF 3, my parents have often used my car instead of the Mercedes or Kia. The vehicle charges quickly, only takes about 30 minutes to charge from 20-80%, enough for comfortable use in 2-3 days" - the owner said.
According to Ms. Quynh Anh, if you buy Mercedes, you spend millions of VND per month on gas. With VF 3, I feel happy to contribute to reducing CO2 emissions. The vehicle is compact, suitable for women moving in the city, reversing or cornering is very easy" - she said.
VinFast VF 3 is also the first choice to buy a car for many families. In October 2024, Mr. Pham Van Nam - Noong Bua ward, Dien Bien Phu city, decided to buy a yellow version of the VF 3 from his wife's interests.
According to Mr. Nam, charging electric vehicles in Dien Bien Phu City is currently quite convenient with over 20 car and electric motorbike charging stations, concentrated in Dien Bien Phu City. The main charging stations are ports with a capacity of 7.4kW, 30kW, 60kW, 80kW and 120kW.
