7 contents of international cooperation on trade unions

Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 3, Article 9 of the 2024 Trade Union Law (amended), effective from July 1, 2025, stipulates the content of international cooperation on trade unions, including:

a) Information and propaganda on foreign policies, guidelines, and achievements in socio-economic development of the country;

b) Training and improving the capacity of trade union officials;

c) Sharing experiences in trade union activities and international workers' movements; carrying out international solidarity and support activities;

d) Establish cooperative relationships, negotiate, sign and implement bilateral and multilateral cooperation commitments and agreements; represent national workers in international forums; participate in activities, join or withdraw from international trade union organizations;

d) Mobilize, coordinate, approve, receive, and manage the use of aid, sponsorship, and technical support from international partners for the Trade Union in accordance with the law;

e) Receive and award forms of rewards;

g) Carry out other people's foreign affairs activities in accordance with the functions and tasks of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Thus, the content of international cooperation on trade unions is stipulated as above.
