The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee stipulates that the subjects taking the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools are students graduating from junior high school in the 2024-2025 school year in the city at the prescribed age.
The admission method includes entrance exams and selection.
In particular, the admission will be applied to students who have graduated from Thanh An Secondary and High School (Can Gio District) in the 2024-2025 school year.
The entrance exam is for candidates who have graduated from junior high school in the city and wish to register to study at high schools in the area.
The admission method is implemented in 2 phases:
Phase 1: students register for 3 priority wishes 1, 2, 3 to take the entrance exam for grade 10 at public high schools.
Phase 2: Depending on the actual application submission at high schools and the needs of high schools, the Department of Education and Training decides on additional admissions and has documents guiding the implementation to ensure the rights of candidates, on the basis of recruiting enough admission quotas for schools that still lack many quotas.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee noted that students choose to register their wishes near their current residence to avoid being admitted but not submitting documents.
Students are not allowed to change their wishes after the wish adjustment period has expired according to regulations.
Candidates will take 3 essay exams including: Math, Literature (120 minutes/subject), Foreign Language (foreign language 1 is being studied at school, the test time is 90 minutes). The expected exam date is June 6 and 7, 2025.
The test score is the total composition score of each question in the test, the test score is calculated on a scale of 10, individual points up to 0.25. The test score coefficient: Math, Literature and Foreign Language all have a coefficient of 1. Candidates must take all three exams and no exam has a score of 0 (no).
Students register 3 wishes in order of priority from high to low (aspiration 1, 2, 3), if they are admitted, they must study according to that wish and not change their wishes.
