At the end of December 2024, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (BLF) launched the Bac Giang Trade Union App. This is an important event, marking a breakthrough in innovating the way the BLF operates in the digital environment.
This application helps union members and workers promptly grasp information about the Party's guidelines, policies and the State's laws related to the Union and workers; Union regulations; and protect their legitimate rights and interests.
Installing this application, no matter where, when, workers can exploit information, services, utilities about job introduction; accommodation; health care services; shopping for preferential goods; entertainment, health training... contributing to improving material and spiritual life. In addition, workers can also send suggestions, recommendations, as well as interact, respond and exchange information...
In the accommodation introduction utility, union members and workers can search and exploit data on safe and civilized worker accommodation, from which they can easily choose a suitable accommodation for themselves. The job introduction utility helps workers increase their chances of finding a job that suits their abilities, as well as helps businesses find the candidates they need to ensure the maintenance and expansion of production and business activities.
"The App acts as a bridge connecting the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor with union members and workers. All information on policies, labor laws, entertainment and welfare regimes... of the Provincial Federation of Labor will be easily transmitted through the App, helping union members and workers to access information and policies quickly and promptly without being limited by space and time" - Mr. Nguyen Van Canh, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor said.
The launch of the Bac Giang Trade Union App is one of many strong digital transformation activities of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Canh, digital transformation in the current period is urgent for Trade Union activities in general and the Bac Giang Provincial Trade Union in particular.
"Digital transformation is the change in thinking, awareness, improvement of working methods, reform of administrative procedures, innovation by applying digital technologies to adapt to the requirements of tasks in the new situation, improve the quality, efficiency and practicality of the activities of the Trade Union organization. The Provincial Federation of Labor identifies union members, workers and trade union officials as the center of this digital transformation process" - Mr. Nguyen Van Canh said.
Young Union officials actively participate in the digital transformation process
Trade Union officials of Bac Giang province, especially young trade union officials, who regularly access information technology, are actively participating in this digital transformation process. Mr. Nguyen Quyet Chien, a specialist of the Propaganda and Women's Union (Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor), said that he was able to produce videos and podcasts to diversify forms of propaganda for workers. In addition, he created mp3 files to propagate to union members and workers in the factory.
"Not being a professional, I have to explore and learn through different channels to be able to have good products, ensure quality, and contribute to propaganda and mobilization work for workers" - Mr. Chien shared.
The Bac Giang Trade Union website has now been upgraded to an Electronic Information Portal. According to statistics, each year, the Electronic Information Portal posts more than 1,200 news and articles; in addition, there are hundreds of Infographics and video clips on the portal. These forms help union members and workers access propaganda information more easily and effectively.
In addition, the current digital signature rate of the Provincial Federation of Labor is 100%; all outgoing and incoming documents (not classified documents) will be sent, received and processed directly on the system. Documents from the province to the direct superior Trade Union at the grassroots level are all digitized, no need to use hard copies as before. This has been implemented by the Provincial Federation of Labor since 2020, in sync with other agencies in the province.
In the coming time, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to maintain the above document processing, and at the same time deploy the synchronous application of paperless meeting rooms. Currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor has an online meeting room in meetings with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In addition, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor also focuses on promoting propaganda on cyberspace, especially the Electronic Information Portal, Facebook information pages, Zalo of Bac Giang Trade Union...
