Tasks of the Village Head from May 26, 2026

Clause 1, Article 6 of Decree 185/2026/ND-CP Regulating the organization and operation of villages and residential groups and regimes and policies for non-specialized personnel in villages and residential groups (effective from May 26, 2026) stipulates tasks in organizing and operating activities of villages and residential groups.

a) Presiding over village and residential group meetings; organizing periodic meetings of the residential community according to the provisions of law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level. Organizing for the residential community to discuss and decide on contents within the scope of People's discussion and decision; organizing for the People to participate in giving opinions on contents within the scope of taking People's opinions according to the provisions of the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots level;

b) Organize the implementation and monitor the implementation of decisions of the residential community that have been approved by the people in the village and residential group; summarize and report to the commune-level People's Committee on the implementation results;

c) Organize the implementation of community self-management activities according to the provisions of law and village and residential group conventions and conventions;

d) Coordinate with the Fatherland Front Work Committee and socio-political organizations in villages and residential groups, forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level and other self-management organizations in organizing activities of the residential community, ensuring security, order, and social safety in the area;

e) Representing villages and residential groups in relations related to the activities of the residential community according to the provisions of law;

e) Report the operating results of villages and residential groups before the village and residential group conferences periodically every year or when necessary.

Thus, from May 26, 2026, the Village Head has the tasks according to the above regulations.
