Test content to restore driving license points from 2025

Clause 1, Clause 2, Article 6 of Circular No. 65/2024/TT-BCA Regulations on testing knowledge of laws on road traffic order and safety to restore driving license points (effective from January 1, 2025) stipulates the content, method, time, structure of the test, and satisfactory test results as follows:

1. Test content, including:

a) Theoretical test of legal knowledge on road traffic order and safety is conducted according to theoretical test questions to grant driving licenses according to regulations of the Minister of Transport (hereinafter referred to as theoretical test of legal knowledge);

b) Testing legal knowledge on road traffic order and safety by simulating traffic situations on computers according to regulations of the Minister of Transport (hereinafter referred to as testing legal knowledge by simulation).

2. Testing method:

a) For the theoretical test of legal knowledge, the test taker takes a multiple-choice test on the computer using the software for testing legal knowledge on road traffic order and safety;

b) For the simulated legal knowledge test, test takers handle traffic situations simulated on the computer.

Article 4 of Circular No. 65/2024/TT-BCA regulating the testing of legal knowledge on road traffic order and safety to restore driving license points (expected to take effect from January 1, 2025) stipulates the competent authority to test legal knowledge on road traffic order and safety as follows:

Competent authority to test legal knowledge on road traffic order and safety:

1. Traffic Police Department.

2. Traffic Police Department of Provincial and Central City Public Security.

Thus, the content and method of testing to restore driving license points are carried out according to the above regulations.
