Permanent Deputy Prime Minister presents gifts to workers in Bac Giang

On the morning of January 18, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh - Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister presented gifts to workers at LGG Bac Giang Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company (Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province).

Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Van Gau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hau A Lenh - Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Canh - Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation...

At the program, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and leaders of Bac Giang province presented 200 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances.

Receiving the gift from the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Ms. Chu Thi Huyen was very touched. The female worker from Dong Son commune, Yen The district, Bac Giang province has worked at Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company for 5 years. Currently, Ms. Huyen's total income is about 7 - 8 million VND/month. Her husband does not have a stable job, her income is used to cover the living expenses for the whole family, so life is still difficult and deprived.

“I thank the leaders and the Trade Union for their concern. I will use the money I receive to buy new clothes for my children to wear during Tet,” Ms. Huyen shared.

Speaking at the program, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh sent his best wishes for a peaceful and healthy New Year to business leaders and employees. Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh hopes that business leaders and employees will continue to develop the company in the direction of producing green, quality garments, exporting more and more to demanding markets, thereby increasing the income of employees, contributing to the country entering a new era.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has for many years had the initiative to organize Tet reunions in industrial parks, where there are many workers, to take care of Tet for union members and workers.

LGG Bac Giang Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company's main field of activity is the production of garments for export. Currently, the Corporation has a total of more than 6,000 employees in 5 regions. At the main factory in Lang Giang district, there are 4,300 employees.

Mr. Trinh Quang Hieu - Chairman of the company's Trade Union said that the company has more than 200 workers in difficult circumstances. The Trade Union will have gifts to encourage them during Tet, especially those who live far away from home and are in difficult circumstances.

According to Mr. Hieu, the company is currently rushing to prepare for the upcoming Tet holiday for employees with outstanding events such as: organizing Tet fairs, Tet week activities, organizing folk games, etc.
