Advertising health protection foods needs to meet the following requirements from February 15, 2026

Article 5 of Decree No. 342/2025/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Advertising Law (effective from February 15, 2026), stipulates the requirements for food advertising content as follows:

1. Food advertising content must include the following mandatory information: Food name; name, address of the organization or individual responsible for the product.

2. Advertising health protection foods must have the phrase: "Health protection food"; advertising supplements must have the phrase: "Complements"; advertising medical nutritional foods must have the phrase "Medical nutritional foods" and "Use for patients under the supervision of medical staff"; advertising foods for special diets must have the phrase: "Nutrition products for (specific users of that product)".

3. The advertising content of health protection foods must include the information specified in Clause 1 of this Article and the following contents:

a) Product uses, health warnings (if any);

b) Recommendation "This food is not a medicine and does not have the effect of replacing medicine for treatment";

c) Advertising in radio and television newspapers with a duration of less than 15 seconds is not required to read the recommendation, but the recommendation must be shown in the advertising content.

Thus, from February 15, 2026, advertising content for health protection foods

must ensure complete information according to the above regulations.
