Composition of literature and poetry discriminating against gender is fined up to 15 million VND

Clauses 3, 4, Article 4 of Decree 76/2026/ND-CP Amending and supplementing Article 11 of Decree No. 125/2021/ND-CP Regulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of gender equality (effective from May 1, 2026), stipulates as follows:

A fine of between 10 million VND and 15 million VND shall be imposed for one of the following acts:

a) Creating, circulating, publishing or allowing the publication of works and cultural products with content promoting and disseminating gender discrimination and gender stereotypes in any genre or form;

b) Spreading backward ideas, customs, and habits that are gender discriminatory in all forms;

4. Additional penalties:

a) Revoke the right to use the operating license for 03 months to 06 months for the act of circulating, publishing or allowing publication specified in point a, clause 3 of this Article;

Thus, from May 1, 2026, the act of creating literary and poetry discriminating against gender may be fined up to 15 million VND. In addition, additional penalties are also subject as above.
