Allowances for security guards at the grassroots level mobilized to protect defense works

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 9 of Decree No. 213/2025/ND-CP stipulates the regime of allowances for working days and food allowances for individuals mobilized to participate in management and protection of national defense works and military zones as follows:

1. In case of mobilization

a) Mobilizing the recovery of natural disasters and fires;

b) Mobilize the handling of security and order situations affecting the safety and confidentiality of defense works and military zones.

2. Labor day allowances and food allowances for individuals mobilized to participate in protecting national defense works and military zones are as follows:

a) The daily allowance is equal to the allowance for marine militia performing the task of fighting to protect islands and sea areas;

b) The food allowance is equal to the basic food allowance of non-commissioned officers and infantrymen currently serving in the Vietnam People's Army.

3, the People's Committee at the commune level is responsible for coordinating with the unit directly managing and protecting defense works and military zones to make a list, compile statistics on working days, and report to the Provincial People's Committee for decision and payment organization.

4. The funding source for implementing the payment of the regimes and policies specified in this Article is guaranteed by the state budget.

Thus, if a person participating in the security and order protection force at the grassroots level is mobilized to participate in protecting national defense works and military zones, he/she will receive the above subsidy.
