The benchmark score does not fluctuate much
Talking to reporters, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Vice Principal of Hanoi University - said that the 2025 high school graduation exam scores show that the D01 combination results (Math, Literature, English) - the combination of admission to all regular university training programs of the school is lower than last year.
However, according to statistical results, the number of candidates applying for admission to Hanoi University this year is about 23,700 applications, nearly double compared to 2024 (12,200). The school explained that this increase may be due to the school's training majors meeting the requirements of the labor market. In addition, the quality of training and learning conditions are getting better and the high rate of students having jobs after graduation also has an encouraging effect.
The Vice Principal of Hanoi University said that in addition to the increase in the number of candidates applying for admission, the Ministry of Education and Training's regulation on using a common scale and not dividing the quota ratio between admission methods also contributes to ensuring that the school's benchmark scores in 2025 do not fluctuate much compared to last year.
"The school's training majors have high social needs and have been in the group of majors with high entrance scores for many years, so this year's benchmark scores may only fluctuate between 0.5 - 1.5 points compared to 2024" - Dr. Dung predicted.

High- notch majors
Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung said that the majors expected to have high benchmark scores are Korean Language, Chinese Language, English Language, Japanese Language, Information Technology, Marketing... These are the majors in the past 5 years in the group with the highest benchmark scores in the school.
Last year, the benchmark scores for majors ranged from 33 to 35.8 on a 40-point scale, with the highest being the Chinese Language and English Language.
The school representative said that in recent years, with most of the school's training majors, candidates must achieve an average of 7.5 points or more in each graduation exam subject to have a chance to be admitted.
In 2025, Hanoi University will admit 3,305 students, an increase of 80 quotas compared to the previous year with 3 methods: Direct admission and priority admission; Combined admission according to the school's regulations; Considering high school graduation exam scores in 2025.
Hanoi University tuition fees for the 2025 course in the 2025 - 2026 school year are expected to be about 780,000 - 1,700,000 VND/credit. Students need to complete about 145 - 152 credits and meet other requirements of the training program to be eligible for graduation recognition.
According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, universities will start filtering for virtual reality from August 17, lasting until August 20. The university benchmark score will be announced before 5:00 p.m. on August 22, 2025.
