Information at the 10th grade admission conference on the afternoon of April 8, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that the Department is urgently completing the process of assigning enrollment targets for grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year.
According to Mr. Tran The Cuong, in order to facilitate students and reduce pressure on student families, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training tries to increase the rate of students admitted to grade 10 in public high schools by about 64% or more, an increase of about 3-4% compared to the previous school year.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi City expects about 127,000 grade 9 students to register to be considered for recognition of junior high school graduation.
Hanoi City persists in its policy of ensuring that 100% of students who have graduated from junior high school and wish to continue studying are admitted to high schools, vocational education - continuing education centers and vocational education institutions that recruit junior high school graduates.
The 2025 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi will take place on June 7-8.
On the first morning, candidates take the Literature exam for 120 minutes, in the afternoon, the Foreign Language exam for 60 minutes.
On the morning of June 8, students took the Math exam for 120 minutes. The admission score is the total score of three subjects on a scale of 10, not multiplied by the coefficient, with the same priority and incentive points (if any).
As every year, students can register a maximum of three wishes in the general system, in which wishes 1 and 2 must be in the enrollment area, wishes 3 of any. Students are not allowed to change their wishes after registering.
