Candidates struggle because of choosing a major, setting aspirations - the pressure of not having a name for the 2025 university admission season
Under the heat of the 2025 university admission exam, setting a correct, sufficient and smart wish becomes a huge pressure for many candidates. Choosing a major is already difficult, setting a voluntary wish is even more difficult because just a small mistake can cause students to lose the opportunity to study the right major, the right school they love.
Phung Ha Linh - a candidate taking the high school graduation exam in Hanoi or Nguyen Nhu Quynh - a candidate taking the high school graduation exam in Thanh Hoa both shared their concerns about the lack of orientation information and confusion among dozens of options.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Tho - a teacher at Hoang Van Thu High School (Hanoi), candidates should make the most of their wishes, in which priority should be given to their dream major and plans should be arranged according to the exam scores behind. The registration of wishes should be divided into two stages: before the exam, the time to determine the major, after the exam, the time to adjust wishes based on expected scores.
MSc. Do Ngoc Anh - Director of the Center for Communication and Admissions, Hanoi Open University noted that candidates are required to register all wishes on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28. Submitting documents at the school or registering through a separate system is not valid if the candidate does not complete the registration on the general system, leading to a loss of admission opportunities. Students return to the city early, do 2-3 extra seasonal jobs during the summer
Instead of returning to their hometown to rest during the summer vacation, many students take advantage of overtime to improve their finances and accumulate practical experience. Nguyen Hai Duong (from Ca Mau) - a 3rd year student majoring in English Language chose to stay in Can Tho to do many jobs at the same time such as teaching, serving at a coffee shop and writing online content. Although busy, the male student is happy because he can help his family and improve his soft skills through many communication jobs.
Similarly, Le Thi Ngoc Anh (from Vinh Long) - a second-year student majoring in travel tourism chose to work part-time at restaurants and tourist areas in Can Tho City to cover tuition and practice professional skills. My Khanh tourist village - where Ngoc Anh used to work - also increased more than 200 seasonal workers to serve tourists during the summer, giving priority to students who collaborate and are trained in additional skills.

Both Hai Duong and Ngoc Anh focus on effective time management so as not to affect their health and learning. Duong has a clear plan, ensuring adequate sleep and relaxation, while Ngoc Anh proactively adjusts her work schedule, stays flexible and spends time self-study in the evening, helping to balance work and study.
