Do 2-3 jobs at the same time
Summer vacation is often the time that many students look forward to, not only to rest after a stressful school year, but also a valuable opportunity to accumulate experience and improve personal finances.
While many friends choose to return to their hometown to rest, male student Nguyen Hai Duong (from Ca Mau) has returned to Can Tho early to earn more income from seasonal work.
As a third-year student majoring in English Language, Hai Duong teaches morning homeroom and works as a waiter at a coffee shop that is quite crowded in the evening. The male student also took turns taking a day off to receive additional content writing online for a fashion store.
Although it is difficult to do many things, the male student is quite excited because he earns quite a lot of money to pay for tuition and support his parents. Moreover, communicating more from extra work during the summer helps Hai Duong improve his soft skills.

Meanwhile, female student Le Thi Ngoc Anh (from Vinh Long) works as a waiter at a restaurant and a seasonal staff at tourist areas in Can Tho City. As a second-year student majoring in Tourism and Tourism, in addition to earning more income to cover tuition fees, Ngoc Anh hopes that participating in the tourism environment early will help her accumulate the necessary skills and experience.
Mr. Cao Van Thien - Head of Marketing Department of My Khanh Tourism Village (Can Tho City) - said that with the increase in visitors during the summer vacation, in addition to official staff, the unit has to increase seasonal workers, ranging over 200 people. In particular, the Tourist Village prioritizes seasonal workers who have collaborated before, as well as training and coaching skills so that staff can best serve tourists.
Time management
Holding 2-3 jobs at the same time, Hai Duong has proactively built a reasonable schedule so as not to affect rest and entertainment. Accordingly, the male student chose to record the specific schedule of each job in the notebook.
Detailed planning, knowing what to do at the right time is a factor that helps me balance when doing many things at the same time. Although busy, I set the principle of getting 7 hours of sleep a day and eating right at mealtime to have the strength to work. In my rare free time, I will spend it reading or watching movies to relax, the male student shared.

Ngoc Anh also emphasized the importance of arranging time: Given the nature of the job of serving restaurants and working in tourist areas, my work schedule is quite flexible, which can change every day. Therefore, I always update my work schedule as soon as possible to be able to proactively discuss with the manager, avoiding overlap.
Aiming to increase income to prepare for the new semester, Ngoc Anh tries not to take too many consecutive shifts to avoid burnout. In the evening, when she returned to her room, the female student spent about 30 minutes reviewing her knowledge of the tourism industry or learning more about destinations in Can Tho, as if studying while playing.
