On July 30, the Banking Academy (BAV) said that in 2026 there are nearly 54,000 candidates registered for admission with about 124,500 aspirations, an increase of about 50% compared to the previous year and the highest level ever. According to preliminary statistics at some universities in the economic sector in the Northern region, this is also the training institution with the largest number of candidates registered for admission.
Among about 54,000 candidates, nearly 4,100 are specialized school students, 20 candidates won national prizes, more than 2,800 have provincial-level or higher prizes. The number of registrations for admission through competency assessment tests is more than 15,400. The group with international foreign language certificates is nearly 20,400, an increase of about 7,000 compared to last year.
All of the above figures are the highest ever. This is a very good growth, showing the interest of candidates" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huu Toan - Director of the Banking Academy - said.
Regarding aspirations, nearly 50% of candidates placed their applications at the Banking Academy in priority order (from 1 to 5).
Meanwhile, the Banking Academy this year enrolls nearly 4,700 students, meaning the average competition ratio for the whole school is more than 1:11. The high-low competition ratio depends on each major. The school said that the number of aspirations is spread across programs, both for traditional majors and new programs.
In 2026, the school uses 4 methods for admission: Direct admission, combined admission based on academic transcripts with international certificates or competency assessment exam scores, based on academic transcripts, high school graduation exam scores.
Tuition fees for the upcoming academic year at the Banking Academy are expected to be 27.8-29.4 million VND for the standard program, 45 million for the high-quality program and 80 million for the internationally linked program.
