Rushing to complete knowledge before the exam day
More than 1.22 million candidates nationwide will enter the 2026 high school graduation exam in two days, June 11 and 12.
Before the exam took place, many 12th grade students in Hanoi were focusing on systematizing knowledge, reviewing key topics instead of learning new content.
Student Khong Xuan Thanh - 12A2 class, Soc Son High School (Hanoi) - said that there are only a few days left until the high school graduation exam takes place, so he is focusing on reviewing important contents, systematizing the topics he has studied throughout three years of high school.
I am trying to complete the key knowledge parts, and at the same time arrange reasonable rest time, maintain health, get enough sleep and prepare my best mindset before entering the exam" - Thanh shared.
According to the male student, the subject that worries him the most now is Math. This year there is no sample exam for reference, while the scope of knowledge is quite broad and there are many practical application types.
To overcome this, I focus on practicing many questions, prioritizing exam types that suit my abilities and goals. I don't get too caught up in difficult questions to get absolute points, but focus definitely on the knowledge parts that can get high scores. My goal in the upcoming exam is to get about 27 points in the Math - Physics - Chemistry combination" - Thanh said.

Sharing the same nervous mood before the exam, Nguyen Thi Kim Thien - a 12A2 student at Soc Son High School - shared that she is making the most of the remaining time to review.
In this sprint stage, in addition to attending classes to be guided by teachers and correct mistakes, I also spend time in the afternoon and evening to study on my own and review knowledge" - Thien said.
Like many peers, Math is also the subject that Thiền is most worried about.
Mathematics is a subject that I am not really confident in. I am trying to practice more practical math forms to get used to how to make questions and not be confused when entering the exam room" - Thien shared.
Teachers pay attention to the mathematics exam strategy
As the high school graduation exam is approaching, Math is still a subject that worries many candidates because of the wide range of knowledge and diverse application requirements. According to Mr. Le Dinh Tien - Math teacher at Co Loa High School, Director of Chu Van An Cultural Training Center (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi) - in the final sprint, students should not create too much pressure on themselves but need to focus on consolidating the basic knowledge that have been learned and practiced many times.
Regarding the structure of the Math exam, teacher Tien said that the first 12 questions are usually basic questions. Candidates need to do it quickly but still ensure caution to avoid losing points unfortunately.
Next is the question section about right and wrong. With this type of question, students need to read the question very carefully because the actual number of problems is quite large. Sometimes the first ideas in the question may be suggestions to solve the following ideas. Students should read the entire question, highlight important keywords before starting to do it" - teacher Tien recommended.

According to the teacher, in the final part of the exam, although there are some differentiating questions, most are still familiar types of questions that students have been exposed to during the review process.
Achieving 8 points or higher is not too difficult a goal for students who have studied seriously throughout the school year. The important thing is to focus on the basic knowledge, read the questions carefully and do the tests carefully" - teacher Tien said.
The teacher also reminded students to have a reasonable time allocation strategy. For questions that are too strange or too difficult, candidates should not spend too much time pursuing them, but should prioritize completing the questions firmly within their ability, and at the same time spend time reviewing their papers to limit errors.
