Expanding admission methods
Van Lang University has just announced the enrollment plan for the regular university system in 2026.
Accordingly, the school enrolls 64 undergraduate training majors in the regular system (standard program) and 16 special training programs according to many admission methods, including:
- Considering the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam
- Considering high school academic results (backbook)
- Considering the results of the competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City
- Exam and review of the results of the V-SAT competency assessment exam
- Admission combined with entrance exams for aptitude subjects (applied to aptitude majors)
- Direct admission and Capacity profile admission (new admission method).
Van Lang University said that the competency profile admission method is built on the basis of combining assessment of the learning process and proofs of candidates' abilities.
This method is built from the point of view that each candidate has their own strengths and diverse development roadmap, evaluated according to 3 core components: 3-year high school learning process (60%); Individual assessment according to industry orientation - career vision (30%) and Foreign language proficiency - integration ability (10%).
Van Lang University enrolls students in training majors such as: Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry - Maxillofacial, Vocal, Piano, Literature, Psychology...


Supplementing training programs
In 2026, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine is expected to enroll students in 13 majors, of which Medicine has 2 training programs (Medicine and English-intensive Medicine); Nursing has 2 training programs (Nutrency and Emergency Nursing majors outside the hospital).
Majors and training programs are as follows:

The school plans to have 3 admission methods including: high school graduation exam; direct admission according to enrollment regulations; using other methods.

Subject combinations are considered on a 30-point scale, not multiplied by coefficients, in which the compulsory subject is Mathematics. The school does not apply the difference in admission scores between combinations. For majors using subject combinations with English, it is only applied to candidates with high school graduation exam scores in English in 2026 (no consideration for foreign language certificates to convert into admission scores).
