The 73rd Miss World contest is held in Vietnam, and is also the 75th anniversary of the formation and development of one of the most prestigious and long-standing beauty contests in the world.
The contest is held in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Khanh Hoa localities, in which Quang Ninh is chosen as the opening venue for the series of activities of the contest, from August 8 to August 12, 2026.
The highlight of the series of activities in Quang Ninh is the opening program "Welcome Miss World to Quang Ninh - Vietnam", expected to take place at 8:00 PM on August 11, 2026 at Ha Long Marina Sea Square, Bai Chay ward, with a scale of 10,000 delegates, people and tourists.
Prominent in the program is the ao dai performance of about 120 contestants from 120 countries and territories, aiming to honor the beauty of Vietnamese culture, spreading the image of friendly and culturally rich Vietnamese country and people to the international community.
Especially, at 9 am on August 12, the group of beauties will get on a 2-story bus to visit the streets, departing from the InterContinental Ha Long hotel (Bai Chay ward), going along Hoang Quoc Viet street - National Highway 18 - Bai Chay bridge - Tran Hung Dao street - Cau Cong bridge (in front of Vincom Ha Long shopping center).
Contestants gathered at Cau Cong Bridge to take photos. Previously, the Organizing Committee planned to organize for contestants to experience with three-wall sailboats. However, due to time limits, only 6 three-wall sailboats were mobilized running behind Cau Cong Bridge to serve as a background for contestants to take photos.
After the Cau Cong point, the contestants will move to Quang Ninh Museum and then take a bus to Ha Long International Passenger Port to board a boat to visit Ha Long Bay. The delegation both visited and had lunch on the tourist boat.
