Not in Top 24 Sports
Before the Miss World 2026 final taking place on September 5th, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc had a fairly uniform record in the sub-competitions.
One of the few challenges that the Vietnamese representative did not enter the Top is Sports Challenge.
In the first round, 111 contestants competed to find 24 people with the best results to advance. Bao Ngoc was not named in the Top 24.
After the rounds of competition, Suil Anyelina Pagán - representing Puerto Rico - won the overall victory. With this result, she became the first contestant to directly enter the Top 40 Miss World 2026. According to this year's format, the overall winner of Sports Challenge is specially admitted to the Top 40, regardless of the slot of each region.
Although she did not achieve results in the Sports challenge, Bao Ngoc was then continuously named in other competitions.
At Talent, she entered Top 23 with a performance combining guitar, singing and rap. At Head to Head Challenge, the Vietnamese representative entered Top 20, equivalent to Top 5 in Asia - Oceania region.
Bao Ngoc's biggest mark comes from Top Model. She won the Asia - Oceania region, thereby winning a direct ticket to the Top 40 Miss World 2026.
Bao Ngoc also entered the Top 24 Beauty With a Purpose, in the Top 6 of Asia - Oceania region with the Gen Zero project. Previously, she and her teammates also won Head Chef Beauty - a cooking challenge that appeared for the first time in the competition.
Failing Top 20 Multimedia Challenge
In the Multimedia Challenge, Bao Ngoc's streak of achievements in sub-competitions was not extended.
According to the announced list of Multimedia Finalists, the contest selects 20 contestants, divided equally among 4 regions.
In the Asia - Oceania region, 5 representatives were named including Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand and Thailand. Bao Ngoc was not named in this group, meaning the Vietnamese representative did not enter the Top 20 Multimedia Challenge.
This is a noteworthy result because Multimedia is one of the challenges that can directly impact the overall ranking. According to the Miss World 2026 format, Multimedia is in the challenge group that helps contestants compete for a spot in the Top 40. In particular, the overall winner of Multimedia will be specially admitted directly to the Top 20.
Thus, in a series of sub-competitions that have had results, Sports Challenge and Multimedia Challenge are two rare parts where Bao Ngoc did not enter the Top.
In the opposite direction, the representative of Vietnam has Top 23 Talent, Top 20 Head to Head, Top 24 Beauty With a Purpose, winning Top Model Asia - Oceania region and winning Head Chef Beauty with teammates. The most valuable thing is that the Top Model victory helped Bao Ngoc secure a Top 40 spot before the final.
