Revealed as a healing project in April, "Sold out on you" is receiving much expectation. The film tells the story of Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo Seop) - CEO of a production farm, and also a researcher at a cosmetic ingredient company.
He lived a peaceful life in a village, until the famous sales MC Dam Ye Jin (Chae Won Bin) appeared and decided to own one of the rare products that Matthew planted. The "chasing" journey made the relationship between the two flourish.
As a new project marking Ahn Hyo Seop's return after blockbuster works such as "Dr. Romantic", "Red Sky", "Staff Date"... the actor surprised the audience with his appearance when transforming into a simple farmer who diligently works in the fields.
Commenting on Ahn Hyo Seop, the film's director Ahn Jong Yeon said that he "fell in love with Ahn Hyo Seop when making this film". The director praised the male star as having a good personality, and behind the serious look is considerable humor. Through the film, audiences will see a completely new image of Ahn Hyo Seop as a "comedian who has been prepared".
Regarding the "healing" theme of the work, director Ahn hopes viewers will feel comfort, through the journey of learning to live slowly of a woman who is always rushing forward and a man who is somewhat rustic, "cold outside, warm inside".
The director said that not only the main couple, but also the supporting characters in the film are built emotionally, with synchronization with the characters up to more than 90%. The crew also meticulously cared for every detail, frame and hoped that these efforts would touch the hearts of the audience.
The movie "Sold out on you" is scheduled to air on April 22. However, because it airs in the middle of the week (Wednesday, Thursday), it is likely that the work will hardly achieve high viewership ratings.
