In the middle of the holiday season, when the streets are bustling with people and vehicles, a special "brain" is still silently operating non-stop. At the Traffic Control Center - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police, hundreds of screens are connected into a giant monitoring system, where 1,837 AI cameras continuously transmit data in real time, covering every intersection, every street of the city.
The atmosphere inside the center is almost separate from the rhythm of life outside. There is no noise, just eyes following the screen, quick and accurate operations. Each officer and soldier is highly focused, because just one slow decision can make the traffic situation complicated.

At the Hanoi Traffic Control Center, all developments on the streets are identified and handled almost immediately. When congestion points appear, the system immediately analyzes data, proposes regulation plans and transmits orders to working groups.
The smooth coordination between the center and forces outside the scene helped many hot spots to be quickly cleared, minimizing prolonged congestion.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Khuong - Deputy Head of the Traffic Command and Traffic Light Control Team, to serve the increasing travel demand during the April 30th Southern Liberation Day and May 1st International Labor Day, the unit has proactively developed many operating scenarios and organized 24/24 hour duty forces.
Monitoring work is maintained continuously to promptly detect and handle arising situations, not to let passivity occur.
These days, the working pace at the center is almost non-stop. The shifts are continuous, ensuring the system operates smoothly every minute. For many officials, holidays mean staying in position, putting aside personal plans to complete tasks," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Khuong - Deputy Head of the Traffic Command and Traffic Light Control Team shared.

Behind the smoothness on each route is the silent effort of the people working in front of the screen. They do not directly stand in the middle of the traffic flow, but play a decisive role in ensuring safety, so that each journey of the people takes place perfectly.
Hanoi Traffic Police also recommends that people should monitor traffic conditions, comply with the instructions of functional forces, and proactively choose suitable routes to ensure safe and convenient journeys during the holidays.
