Founder Yang Hyun Suk has updated Baby Monster's comeback roadmap. Accordingly, the group will return on May 4th with a mini album called "Choom". Initially, this product was planned to have two title tracks, but the company decided to keep only one. The remaining song will be released separately as a single in early June, accompanied by a music video.
Not stopping there, Baby Monster will also continue to promote the supporting songs in the album. The MV for the song "I like it" is expected to be released in July, while the MV "Moon" will be released in early August, showing YG's long-term promotion strategy.
Besides Baby Monster, TREASURE is also confirmed to return with a new mini album on June 1. This is considered a step to maintain the group's heat in the context of the fiercely competitive K-pop market.
Notably, YG continues to reveal plans to launch a new boy group. According to shares, the group will consist of 5 members and is expected to debut in September this year. This information immediately attracted the attention of fans, as YG is famous for training groups with their own colors.
In the female artist segment, the company also introduced the third member of the new group project tentatively called "Next monster". The member with the stage name Kayci, 13 years old, has spent 1 year and 6 months practicing at the company. In the video, Kayci attracted attention when performing Adele's song "When we were young", showing her vocal potential.
Thus, YG is about to launch music groups and artists following the success of Baby Monster and Blackpink.
A series of dense plans from YG show the strategy of expanding the artist lineup in 2026, while consolidating the company's position in the K-pop market. With the return of current groups and the preparation to launch new members, YG is expected to create more imprints in the near future.
