On the morning of September 24, super typhoon Ragasa has decreased in intensity to level 15-16, gusting above level 17, moving in the northern sea area of the North East Sea, about 650 km east of Mong Cai, Quang Ninh. It is forecasted that on the morning of September 25, coastal areas from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh will start to have strong winds.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam issued a telegram to units in the industry, requesting focus on implementing measures to respond to super typhoon Ragasa to ensure the safety of flights, people and property at airports and airports.
Accordingly, 6 airports are forecast to be in the area affected by super typhoon Ragasa: Noi Bai (Hanoi), Van Don (Quang Ninh), Cat Bi (Hai Phong), Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa), Vinh (Nghe An), and Dong Hoi (Quang Tri).

Due to the complicated developments of storm No. 9 Ragasa, Vietnam Airlines has adjusted its operating plan for September 23 and 24 to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
On September 23, flight VN580 of Ho Chi Minh City - Kaohsiung (Taiwan, China) took off at 3:00 a.m. on September 24. Flight VN586 of Hanoi - Kaohsiung (Taiwan, China) took off at 3:54 a.m. on September 24.
The national airline also announced the cancellation of flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong (China); Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Guangzhou (China) on September 23 and 24.
On September 24, flights to and from Cat Bi airport (Hai Phong) were adjusted to take off and land before 11am.
At the same time, some other domestic and international flights may also be affected by the storm.
Previously, Vietjet airline also adjusted some flights on September 23. The airline has temporarily suspended 10 flights including: VJ876/VJ877 route Ho Chi Minh City - Hong Kong (China) - Ho Chi Minh City; VJ986/VJ985 route Phu Quoc - Hong Kong (China) - Phu Quoc; VJ5530/VJ5531 route Nha Trang - Macao (China) - Nha Trang; VJ8890/VJ8891/VJ8892/VJ8893: route Da Nang - Macau (China) - Da Nang.
Some of the airline's other flights were also affected.
