The above artifacts and antiques were donated by Mr. Tran Trong Ha - former Director of Quang Ninh Museum.
Among these are 19 Tay Son coins and 12 ceramics and porcelain dating from the 9th-Xth century to the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The Tay Son dynasty money group consists of 19 copper coins, belonging to the Thai Duc, Quang Trung and Canh Thinh dynasties, all of which are copper alloy materials.
Among them are 2 Thai Duc Thong Bao coins of King Nguyen Nhac, dated 1778-1793; 8 Quang Trung Thong Bao coins, 1 Quang Trung Dai Bao coin and Quang Trung Thong Bao variants with different rear features such as the words Bao Vuong, 4 open moon rims, 4 overturned moon rims, the words Nhat. In addition, there are also 4 Canh Thinh Thong Bao coins of King Nguyen Quang Toan, dated 1783-1801.
The remaining group of 12 antiques are mainly ceramics, earthenware, semi-celain and porcelain, dating from the 9th-Xth century to the late 19th century, early 20th century.
Notably, there are jade glazed ceramic bowls without tops, bridge-shaped, dating from the 9th-Xth centuries; 5-ear ceramic vases, dating from the 10th century; small ancient ceramic vases - apricot vases, dating from the 11th-13th centuries; along with many types of ceramic bowls, vases, jars with decorative patterns typical of each period.
Among these, some artifacts are recorded as intact, while some have been repaired or show signs of damage such as a yellow-glazed ceramic bowl with a small crack.
Notably, the donation list also includes 2 white glazed ceramic bowls with chrysanthemum flowers painted with blue glaze under glaze, dating from the 19th century and 2 white glazed ceramic bowls with chrysanthemum flowers painted with blue glaze under glaze, delicate shapes, decorated with flowers and grass, dating from the late 19th - early 20th centuries, noted as Mong Cai pottery.
Receiving more valuable artifacts and antiques contributes to supplementing the source of documents and artifacts to serve the conservation, research and promotion of cultural heritage values at the Quang Ninh City Museum.
According to Mr. Do Quyet Tien - Director of Quang Ninh Museum - from the beginning of 2026 to now, 3 individuals and families have donated precious artifacts to the museum.

Quang Ninh Museum currently preserves tens of thousands of artifacts and images, including 12 national treasures and many artifact collections.
In which, the Museum preserves a system of artifacts reflecting the history of Quang Ninh land from prehistoric times, Ha Long culture, metal era, prehistoric to Dai Viet era. This is a group of special value in recreating the history of residents of the Northeast region.
With the antique group associated with Yen Tu - Tran Dynasty, this is one of the important spaces of the Museum, introducing artifacts related to Yen Tu Buddhism and the Tran Dynasty, including many architectural artifacts, sculptures and worship items.
Along with that is a group of ceramic, porcelain, and metal antiques, collected in Quang Ninh as well as antiques from other regions and countries brought to this land during trade and history.
In addition, the Museum also has a collection of artifacts about the coal industry. This is a very large "warehouse" of documents about the history of coal miners. The coal industry history display space has images, original artifacts, open-pit mine tables and models recreating underground coal mining.
