Duyen Quynh was born in 1990 in Dak Lak. From a young age, she showed a talent for singing and soon pursued a professional music path. After graduating from high school, Duyen Quynh entered the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and was formally trained in vocal music. This is an important foundation to help her build vocal technique, ability to handle works and a solid performance style.
After graduating, Duyen Quynh used to work at the Ho Chi Minh City Symphony Orchestra and Ballet Theater (HBSO), participating in choir performances, backing vocals and official art programs. However, like many singers from academic environments, the early stages of her career were quite quiet, receiving little attention from the general public. Duyen Quynh herself once shared that there were times when she had to do many other jobs to cover living expenses, because the income from performances was not stable enough.
In parallel with performing activities, Duyen Quynh also works as a vocal lecturer, directly teaching students in Ho Chi Minh City. The teaching role helps her maintain her profession, while accumulating more experience in techniques and learner psychology.

Duyen Quynh's first turning point in her career came in 2019, when she participated and won the program "Nguoi ke chuyen tinh" (Love Storyteller). This is a music playground focused on emotions and how to tell stories with her voice. Throughout the season, Duyen Quynh impressed with her stable performance, emotional singing style and ability to handle lyrical and bolero songs. This victory helped her name become more widely known by professionals and music lovers, marking the first time Duyen Quynh stepped out of the "safe zone" of a backstage singer.
Three years later, in 2022, Duyen Quynh continued to affirm her position when she won the championship of the program "Shining Star Duo" with singer Minh Sang. The competition requires a harmonious combination between two voices, duet performance ability and stage presence. Continuously winning two championship titles in two major television programs shows that Duyen Quynh is not a "lucky" face, but has real ability and a clear career path.
In addition to the awards, the most important milestone that helped Duyen Quynh get closer to the public was the song "Continuing the Story of Peace" by musician Nguyen Van Chung. The song quickly spread strongly on social networks, and was used in many community events, festivals and art programs. From here, Duyen Quynh became a familiar face in political arenas, television programs and cultural and social activities.
Before the controversy about lip-syncing, Duyen Quynh's image in the eyes of the public was quite positive: a singer with a formal education, coming from a formal art environment, who had spent many years silently contributing before being recognized. Not chasing scandals, not appearing frequently in the media, Duyen Quynh is considered a representative of the "slow but steady" generation of artists, taking the profession as the root and considering the stage as a serious working space.
Therefore, when the lip-syncing incident was discovered, many viewers were surprised, even regretful. Because with a professional background, performance experience and the role of vocal lecturer, Duyen Quynh can completely perform well on big stages.
