The Northwest - Dien Bien Quintessence Festival in 2025 will take place from September 19-21, in Dien Bien Phu ward. This is a key activity in the Tourism Development Cooperation Program between the 8 Expanded Northwestern Provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.
The event is organized with the goal of building a unique and unique tourism brand " quintessence of the Northwest" rich in identity, to honor the beauty of the land, culture and people of the ethnic groups in the Northwest region to expand to attract tourists.



According to information from the Organizing Committee, the opening night stage on the evening of September 19 at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium will have a multi-dimensional performance space, where art blends with scenery, imbued with the cultural identity of the Northwest.
Accordingly, the main stage is arranged in the form of a semi-headland, creating a harmonious whole between the ground and the water surface.
The ground stage symbolizes Pha Din Pass - one of the "four great mountain passes" of the Northwest. The water stage symbolizes the quintessence of flow, like a constant cultural flow between the past and the present.



The main stage is also impressively designed with a sound, lighting and background system. The clusters such as stilt houses, terraced fields, and daily activities are recreated as vivid pieces of life here.
The program also applies modern technologies to bring visual and emotional experiences to the audience, such as: lifting tables, large-capacity projectors and 3D mapping, CO2 and fireworks technology.
In addition, special props such as giant flower lanterns that can fly into the air will be one of the poetic highlights in the program.


The opening night will feature a cast of famous artists who are loved by: Thu Minh, Tang Duy Tan, Ha Le, Oplus, Da LAB, Mai Quinn, Bao Tram, Rapper Rica...
Within the framework of the Festival, at the 7-5 Square area (Dien Bien Phu ward), visitors can also participate in many activities, such as: displaying tourist destinations of the 8 Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; Northwest Food Festival; beautiful photo exhibition "Northwestern Colors" and art exchange program on the evening of September 21.

Along with that is the "Tinh hoa Tay Bac" street festival at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument and Vo Nguyen Giap Street, with the participation of nearly 1,000 people.
