On October 4, informing reporters, a representative of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province said that the locality had officially issued a document on stopping the organization of Thanh Tuyen Night Festival and the Uncle Ho's Commemoration Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 program to focus resources on the work of preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters caused by the circulation of storm No. 10.
The Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, based on assigned functions and tasks, to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to stop organizing the Thanh Tuyen Festival Night Program in 2025. Proposing the Provincial Youth Union to stop organizing the Uncle Ho's Mid-Autumn Festival Festival Program in 2025.

Requesting departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes and wards to proactively coordinate with the Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at the same level, related units, to focus on the work of preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. Timely and widely, fully and accurately inform the people and tourists about stopping the organization of Thanh Tuyen Night Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival Program to remember Uncle Ho in 2025.
According to the plan, the Thanh Tuyen Festival 2025 program with the highlight being Thanh Tuyen Night will take place on the evening of October 4 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square.
Due to the influence of storm No. 10, floods from the night of September 29 to October 1 caused many areas in Tuyen Quang to be deeply flooded. To date, the locality has recorded 6 deaths and missing people, more than 4,000 houses and nearly 3,000 hectares of crops flooded.
This is the second consecutive year that the Thanh Tuyen Festival cannot take place due to the impact of floods. In 2024, Tuyen Quang province also decided to stop Thanh Tuyen Festival to focus on overcoming the severe impacts of floods after Typhoon Yagi.
Tuyen Thanh Festival was first held in 2004. It was then upgraded to the provincial level in 2014 and has since become a special cultural event of Tuyen Quang province every Mid-Autumn Festival.
Currently, Tuyen Thanh Festival is considered the largest and most unique Mid-Autumn Festival in the country, with many records confirmed by the Vietnamese Guinness Book of Records such as the Festival with many unique and largest Mid-Autumn Festival models in Vietnam, "The Largest Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam", "The Largest pair of lanterns in Vietnam".
