Continuing the working trip to Tuyen Quang, on October 2, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh inspected the flood situation and natural disaster prevention, control and overcoming in Tan Quang commune, Minh Xuan ward and Binh Thuan.
In Tan Tien village, Nguyen Tat Thanh Square area and Hoa Cach residential area, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh shared the difficulties and losses of the people. At the same time, he highly appreciated the functional sectors and local authorities for their close coordination and good implementation of measures to ensure the safety of the people.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that limiting and banning vehicles and people from traveling through dangerous areas is a necessary measure. The authorities need to continue to be on duty 24/7 ready to respond to any situation that may arise.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested localities to closely monitor flood developments on the river. Proactively relocate people and property and effectively implement the "4 on-site" motto in responding to natural disasters. Resolutely do not let people fish, collect firewood in floodwater, or travel in dangerous areas.

In areas with deep flooding, as soon as the water recedes, people need to support environmental sanitation to avoid epidemics.
For households whose houses are flooded or collapsed, early support is needed to stabilize their lives.
Presenting gifts to functional forces on duty and people affected by the damage, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh hopes to continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, do a good job of natural disaster prevention with the spirit of human life as the top priority. According to the Office of the Civil Defense Command of Tuyen Quang province, by 9:00 a.m. on October 2, floods and landslides had left 6 people dead or missing; nearly 6,400 houses were affected; 50 schools and medical stations were damaged; 7,000 hectares of rice fields, corn, crops, industrial crops and fruit trees were flooded and buried.
244 locations on traffic routes to communes were eroded, causing congestion. In addition, many clean water, electricity, and irrigation works were destroyed by floods.
