Over 10 million VND/ticket is no longer rare

At that time, the Organizing Committee shared that the 22 million VND ticket only had 100 VIP tickets and with that ticket, there was also the opportunity to receive many preferential cards when buying villas, products of the program sponsor, especially the opportunity to own a luxury supercar with a lucky draw.
Of course, that is a very special ticket price and later liveshows and concerts rarely reach the "ceiling".
In 2023, when Blackpink held a concert in Hanoi, the highest ticket price of 9.8 million VND was considered a record after Duyen dang Viet Nam 28. But this level was immediately surpassed by X-Mas Festival in Hanoi with the lowest price of 900,000 VND, the highest is the V.VIP S1 class, which was announced with the highest ticket price of 15 million VND. V.VIP S2, S3 classes are priced at 10 million VND. The organizers then explained that the ticket price of 15 million VND is a private area, guests are served in VIP rooms.

However, the "shock" originated from a Vietnamese concert. Tickets for the concert "Tinh Ha say hi: Hen giua tinh ha" have officially been opened for sale for the performance night on October 17. In which President Lounge is priced at 50 million VND and Sky Lounge is priced at 10 million VND. The special thing is that on the ticket sales system, these two types of tickets quickly "got out of stock".
If BIGBANG's concert or "Tinh Ha Say Hi: Hen giua tinh ha" can be explained by the force of fans who dare to spend money to approach Kpop and Vpop idols, then the ticket price of classic ballet Eugene Onegin gives a different perspective.
Eugene Onegin" is a ballet directed by Boris Eifman - Art Director and choreographer of the Eifman Ballet, based on the novel of the same name by Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. First released on March 3, 2009 in St. Petersburg (Russian Federation), the play has toured in more than 40 countries and is considered by international critics as one of the best contemporary ballet works of the 21st century.
In 2025, Boris Eifman also brought the ballet "Anna Karenina" to Vietnam and achieved resounding success with 4,000 tickets sold out in just 2 weeks of opening sales. The organizers then had to announce two more performances in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, increasing the total to 7 nights. For Anna Karenina, the ticket price is quite affordable because there is a sponsor, so the highest is only 3 million VND.
This time, "Eugene Onegin" will perform for 4 nights from October 21st to 24th at Hoa Binh Theater (HCMC), then the troupe will perform for 4 nights in Hanoi, from October 28th to 31st at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace. Notably, the announced ticket price includes 6 classes, the lowest is 500,000 VND and the highest is... 20 million VND (SVIP).
Not simply listening to music
The fact that tickets to art programs are very expensive shows that in Vietnam, a part of the audience has accepted to spend large sums of money to enjoy art.
With the "Tinh Ha Say Hi" concert, high ticket prices come with a different experience. The Organizing Committee arranges the "Tinh Ha Strip" catwalk connecting the podiums, bringing artists closer to the audience area. VIP tickets thereby help audiences access artists at close range, while the limited number creates private space and a privileged feeling compared to mass tickets.
With the ballet "Eugene Onegin", the higher ticket price than last year's "Anna Karenina" was calculated by the organizers based on the academic art enjoyment needs of Vietnamese audiences. VIP tickets come with many privileges such as entrances, private reception areas, souvenirs and opportunities to meet artists after the show.
The approach of both "Tinh Ha Say Hi" and "Eugene Onegin" is quite new, shortening the gap in real life between viewers and artists. VIP tickets worth tens of millions of VND are not for the majority but also offer solutions for programs when creating a connection between art and commerce. That is also a way for the cultural industry to go faster and contribute more to the economy.
