On November 28 (Korean time), HYBE Labels announced a joint statement of 6 brands under HYBE Music Group APAC, expressing its deepest condolences to the victims of the fire and their families. Along with that, HYBE donated about 2.66 million USD (equivalent to about 340,000 USD) through the Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association of Korea, as a fund in coordination with local non-profit organizations to support affected people and families.
In the statement, HYBE expressed hope that the damage will be controlled soon, affected areas will be quickly restored, and emphasized that this is a joint effort of brands in the HYBE network in the Asia-Pacific region to share with the international community in the face of the tragedy.
Also on November 28, the two groups TOMORROW x TOGETHER (TXT) and CORTIS, both under HYBE, issued a notice expressing condolences to the victims, and updated their plans to participate in 2025 MAMA AWARDS at Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong (China).
After the discussion with the organizers, the two groups said they would still perform according to the schedule, but emphasized that they would step onto the stage with a "heavy mood", considering this an opportunity to express their condolences and encouragement to the people of Hong Kong (China) during the difficult period.
According to international news agencies, as of November 28, the fire at Wang Fuk Court apartment complex has killed at least 128 people and injured dozens, more than 200 people are still missing, making it one of the most catastrophic fires in Hong Kong in recent decades.
The donation activities, including contributions from the Korean entertainment industry, are expected to partly support relief, reconstruction and care for victims of the tragedy.
