The Mr World contest has ended and left many beautiful impressions.
From the day the male kings set foot at Tan Son Nhat airport to prepare for the Mr World contest, the representative of the Mr World organizing committee in Vietnam - began the journey of promoting culture.
Vietnam's representative, King Tuan Ngoc, presented scarves to the international kings.
The work of promoting culture and introducing Vietnam to the world continues to be demonstrated through the program's activities, especially the night of Mr World's national cultural costume performance.
The National Costume Show lasted two hours. The audience immersed themselves in a colorful cultural show, from festivals in the Americas to indigenous peoples in Africa, ancient European features and religious cultures in Asia.
This is also the first time the Mr World contest has added a National Costume competition. The idea of adding this National Costume performance to the Mr World contest came from director Hoang Nhat Nam.
The special feature of the traditional costume competition night at Mr. World is that the contestants perform in continental groups, reflecting the cultural identity of the countries.
At the end of each continent’s performance, the contestants expressed their thanks to Vietnam. The calls “Vietnam”, “I love Vietnam”, “Hello Vietnam”… were shouted by international contestants in Phan Thiet.
Cultural promotion and tourism stimulation were also incorporated into the Ao Dai performance at the Mr World finale. The Vietnamese element was clearly shown through 60 hand-embroidered costumes, painted with dragons, Lac birds, and bronze drums.
Designer Tuan Hai's Ao Dai collection was performed by 60 male kings called Thang Long Tu Tru. The group of contestants performed Ao Dai based on the continent.
The Americas - Caribbean region performed in black Ao Dai. The African region contestants wore green costumes, symbolizing nature and the earth. The male kings from Europe were assigned to perform in pink Ao Dai. The Vietnamese representative Pham Tuan Ngoc and the group of male kings from Asia performed in red - white and yellow costumes, symbolizing the culture, aspiration and pride of the East.

Designer Tuan Hai shared that he carefully researched Vietnamese culture, along with discussing with the organizers to incorporate traditional elements into the collection. “When designing, I not only rely on my own inspiration, but also have to carefully research Vietnamese cultural symbols, such as bronze drums, Lac birds, or Asian dragons to create costumes that are not only beautiful but also imbued with cultural values,” the designer added.
Closing the final night, the Mr World organizers were impressed with the meticulous organization of the Vietnamese team. “The Mr World organizers assigned us all the organization and stage operations because they trusted the thoughtfulness of the team. They only mobilized the contestants to arrive on time, helping to connect the cultural elements.
This is an international competition, the contestants have different lifestyles and daily habits. Connecting with the contestants is very important,” director Hoang Nhat Nam shared.
Ms. Julia Morley and the organizing committee members expressed their satisfaction with the organization, security, and image. The organizing committee was also impressed because Vietnam is a friendly and hospitable country, always wanting to spread the spirit of friendship and global cultural exchange.
The contestants participating in Mister World all expressed that they will return to Vietnam many more times.
