When participating in Call Me by Fire, singer Cuong Seven had his own fan community for the first time, following and promoting methodically. Is this a sweet fruit for you after more than 10 years in the profession?
- When participating in the program, I hope the audience can see the passion and enthusiasm that I have maintained for many years in my career. Fortunately, the audience recognized my efforts and contributions.
Call Me by Fire is a wonderful memory, a milestone in my career that I will definitely always feel happy when I think back on.
The performances "Drum of rice" with People's Artist Tu Long and Soobin, followed by "Chiec khan Pieu" with traditional cultural sound were strongly spread. What does that mean to him?
- I always feel lucky to be a part of the Morning Star family with People's Artist Tu Long and Soobin Hoang Son. When I first participated, I wasn't really comfortable enjoying it.
The journey of accompanying and working with People's Artist Tu Long, Soobin and other brothers from the beginning to the final night was a meaningful time for me. I learned from Mr. Long's optimism and meticulousness. Now, he is close to me like a family member, often confiding in each other.
Coming to the stage of "Chiec khan Pieu", I became close to Jun Pham and (S) TRONG Trong Hieu. Trong Hieu is very harmonious and suitable for me in his musical thinking. Hieu and I formed a small group, both of whom loved to sing and dance. Jun is a very affectionate and understanding person. We always respect and love each other.
More than 10 years ago, Cuong Seven went through a difficult time when his performance ability received mixed opinions. Looking back at that incident after 10 years, how have you changed yourself?
- I think studying and making efforts is never enough. I persistently learn to sing and dance every day even though I have not had a show for many years. I had a period of struggling and collapse. Overcoming difficult times, I cherish the opportunities that come, what I have achieved. If I were chosen, I would still choose to let those incidents happen, because that is what makes me make more efforts and cherish the work I do.
After Cuong Seven participated in Call Me by Fire, his wife - singer Vu Ngoc Anh also competed in Sister Who Makes Wave. Is your wife inspired by your journey?
- It's not me, Ngoc Anh has wanted to perform for a long time. I am happy that after the show, Ngoc Anh's image is closer to the audience, and she has more fans. My wife also has close colleagues.
Both husband and wife work in the arts, so my wife also understands my difficulties.My career path is not always smooth, but my wife always supports me.Right now, I think we are both proud of each other.
