In a conversation with reporters, Dan Truong had frank shares surrounding the view that many artists turn to stimulants to increase creative emotions in their artistic work.
According to the male singer, artists are inherently sensitive and emotional people. They may go through very sublime stages in their work, but at the same time there are times when they fall into a state of loneliness, pressure and want to rebel.
Dan Truong believes that in times of emotional imbalance, if you cannot control yourself, a person can easily fall or make wrong decisions.
I think artists have moments of sublimation but also moments of solitude. Solitude to the point of wanting to rebel. In that moment, if you cannot control yourself, it is very easy to fall and do something unusual," the male singer shared.
However, the singer of "Kiep ve sau" emphasized that it is not possible to generalize that the entire art community is related to banned substances or using stimulants for artistic creation because of some cases.
Dan Truong said that he had read many comments on social networks that "90% of artists" use stimulants to find creative inspiration. According to the male singer, this is a somewhat one-sided and unfair perspective for many artists who are serious about their profession.
I read comments saying that 90% of artists use that quality to sublimate in art and feel sad in their hearts. Not everyone is like that," he said.
The male singer believes that cases of artists involved in violations related to banned substances are only isolated cases, not representing the entire entertainment industry. According to him, most artists are still working seriously in their profession, trying to maintain their image and live positively to contribute to the audience.
The male singer said that the audience considers artists as idols, but artists themselves also need to have positive role models to look at as motivation to remind themselves to stay away from temptations.
