The appearance of comedian Van Son quickly attracted attention when he revealed that he had just gone through a 40-hour flight from Europe to Vietnam to be able to attend.
The male artist said that he landed at 12:30 pm on the same day, almost no time to rest before attending the event with the crew. "I want to be fully present with the film crew on the premiere day, because this is a project that I have put a lot of effort into," Van Son shared.
The male comedian revealed that 3 days ago, he was still in Europe and worried when flights combined routes due to fuel issues. Therefore, it is not easy to book tickets to return to Vietnam urgently. However, the male comedian tried every way to return to meet the audience.
Sharing more about the reason for accepting to participate in the movie "Blood Moon Party 8", Van Son affirmed that he is quite strict in choosing scripts. According to the male comedian, even if a project has a good idea but the character is not strong enough, he still refuses. Conversely, if the character is attractive but the script still has many unconvincing points, he will not accept.
I only participate when both the script and the characters are good enough. With this project, I saw the serious and dedicated investment from director Phan Gia Nhat Linh and producer Charlie Nguyen, so I decided to accompany him," he said.
In the movie, Van Son plays Tam OK - a character with complex psychological developments, requiring clear changes through each stage. The male artist said that this is a type of role that makes him "pour all his strength" when performing.
The beginning, middle and end of the film are very different, so the character's psychology also has to change continuously. This is not a small challenge for me, but also something that interests me," Van Son shared.
According to the production crew, persuading Van Son to return to Vietnam to participate in the project was not simple at all. What made the male artist agree was the script idea with a new color, combining many elements such as horror, comedy, action and family psychology.
The behind-the-scenes film also reveals Van Son's serious work process, from studying the character's psychology to physically demanding scenes. Although it has a horror-comedy color, his role still retains the characteristic charm that is familiar to the audience.
Not only marking its return, "Blood Moon Party 8" is also a rare time Van Son takes on the main role in a commercial movie screened in Vietnam. The male artist collaborates with a cast of many generations such as Miu Le, Lien Binh Phat, Le Khanh, Hong Anh, Hua Vi Van, Meritorious Artist Duc Khue...
