On April 15, Korea, Kim Soo Hyun's management company, Gold Medalist, issued a official statement announcing that they had filed a complaint to the law enforcement agency.
In the application, there is a paragraph: "Recently, there are many articles, malicious comments and false information about our artist Kim Soo Hyun uploaded and spread indiscriminately online."
The management company continued to add: "Unprecedented speculation and unspecified claims are continuously posted, misleading the public and seriously damaging the reputation of our artists.
Based on the positive reports of our fans and internal monitoring activities, we submitted criminal complaints on April 14 on defamation under the Law on Information and Communication Network and offensive crimes under the Criminal Act. "
Gold Medalist also emphasized the growing severity of the "Cyber Breaking" behavior - referring to the creators of the hidden content of video or short films with rumored content for the purpose of spreading.
The company said: "These creators take advantage of the anonymity to create fake and excited news online. We will take a tough action against such behaviors through cooperation with international legal representatives, including anti -content on platforms like YouTube and X (formerly Twitter)."
The agency added that they plan to submit more complaints when necessary, stating: "We will continue to take strong legal actions to protect the artist's rights from clear crime activities."
Kim Soo Hyun was involved in rumors and controversy related to the late actress Kim Sae Ron, causing him to temporarily stop his public activities.
