On the evening of January 27 (ie 28th of Tet), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL) of Can Tho City organized the opening ceremony of the Spring Art Flower Street of At Ty 2025.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City - said that the Spring At Ty 2025 Art Flower Street is one of the important highlights directed by the city to create a destination and cultural space for people and tourists to have fun and entertain during Tet.
The flower street is over 310m long, located on Vo Van Tan - Nguyen Thai Hoc street (Ninh Kieu district), and was built with a budget of 5.5 billion VND from sponsorship.
With the theme “Convergence and Development”, the art flower street gathers more than 40 thousand flower pots and fresh flower baskets, with many different types, combined with more than 20 models and miniatures made by artisans.
The flower street is divided into the main gate, the side gate and 3 segments. In which, the main gate area is designed with inspiration from the letter C in Can Tho, stylized into flower petals, with the image of a shining pearl in the center being the city logo and the words "Can Tho Flower Street 2025".
The side gate area includes a stylized model of a swallow spreading its wings, the Can Tho logo in the middle and the words "Can Tho Flower Street 2025", a tray of five fruits and colorful flower models.
The first segment has the meaning of Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the Spring of At Ty, including models of spring apricot gardens, lotus flower platforms, Vietnam map, sunflower platforms associated with welcoming Party Congresses at all levels,...
The next segment has the meaning of Can Tho City shining - integrating and developing, including large flower models, digital technology applications, the City People's Council building,... symbolizing the upward development; the aspiration for the city to develop, continue to shine, and integrate globally with the whole country.
The final segment has the meaning of Can Tho's river and garden areas, including a stylized model of the city's tourism logo, a floating market on the river, boats filled with fruits, a model of a river of flowers,... representing the city of poetry, a green city, a riverside urban area.
According to the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, the Spring Flower Street of At Ty 2025 will officially open to visitors from the evening of January 27 (ie 28th of Tet) to 22:00 on February 3 (ie 6th of Tet); it is expected to become an interesting sightseeing and entertainment spot, meeting the cultural and spiritual needs of people and tourists during this year's Tet holiday.
Previously, in the years 2022 - 2024, due to financial difficulties, Can Tho City did not organize an art flower street to welcome the new year. After 4 years of suspension, this year the city organized an art flower street that met the expectations of many people.
