On the evening of February 15th (December 28th of the lunar calendar), Nguyen Hue Flower Street for Binh Ngo Tet 2026 officially opened, opening to serve people and tourists from 7 pm on February 15th to 9 pm on February 22nd (the 6th day of Tet).
Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2026 has the theme "Spring gathers - Steadfastly reaching out". Before the opening of Nguyen Hue Flower Street, leaders and former central and Ho Chi Minh City leaders held a flower offering ceremony in front of the statue of Uncle Ho.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that Nguyen Hue flower street in Ho Chi Minh City has gone through more than 2 decades. The flower street is a symbol of sending the belief and aspirations of the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City.
Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that this year's Ho Chi Minh City spring flower street is for the first time organized synchronously in Saigon ward, Binh Duong ward and Vung Tau ward. Each area has its own emotional levels but all are directed towards the theme of solidarity and convergence in the era of rising to become an international super-urban area in Southeast Asia of Ho Chi Minh City.

Nguyen Hue Flower Street is not only an annual Tet cultural space but also becomes a symbolic work, reflecting the dynamic, creative and integrated mindset of Ho Chi Minh City. This year, for the first time, the Organizing Committee simultaneously deploys two versions of day and night experiences in the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street area, combining traditional art with modern technology such as mapping projection, augmented reality (AR) and interactive lighting systems.




Throughout the flower street, there is also a large scene like "Nhat ma thong dong" which is a giant horse leisurely grazing, "Ngua 9 hong mao" inspired by the legend of Son Tinh - Thuy Tinh, the large scene "Ly ngua o" recreating Southern culture... The large scene "Giang son cam tu" gathers 9 eternal horses galloping, of which 3 main horses symbolize Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau and Binh Duong with a monolithic shape showing strength and stability.


The flower street space continues to have the participation of the Consulates General of the United Kingdom, India, Laos, Indonesia, Netherlands, Malaysia, China and Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing works of art for display and flower arrangement typical of each country's culture.





City leaders also requested departments, branches and functional forces to strengthen the work of ensuring security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting and environmental sanitation, so that people and tourists have a safe, civilized and friendly spring trip.
Lao Dong's record at the opening ceremony, a large number of people and tourists gathered around the flower street area to enjoy spring and take souvenir photos.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh (resident of Xuan Hoa ward) shared: "I am very impressed with this year's horse mascots. The flower street is brilliantly colored with spring, my family and I have taken many photos tonight.
